Terrence Howard was born in Chicago, Illinois, on March 11, 1969, to biracial parents Tyrone and Anita Howard. Terrence’s ancestry is African and English, and his great-grandmother was the famous actress Minnie Gentry. Terrence had a challenging childhood in Cleveland, Ohio, where he suffered physical abuse from his father, who was later convicted of manslaughter and served an 11-month jail sentence.
