On December 28, 1979, Uche Jombo was born in Abiriba, Abia State, Nigeria. Her primary and secondary education was completed in Abiriba, Abia State. Her mother signed her up for the neighborhood church drama group in elementary school. Throughout high school, Jombo often won the prize for best drama student due to her remarkable abilities. Her neighborhood church entirely paid for her secondary education.

She holds degrees in computer programming from the Federal University of Technology Minna and mathematics and statistics from the University of Calabar. Kenny Rodriguez, an American, is her husband.

The Nollywood films Games Men Play, Lies Men Tell, Holding Hope, A Time to Love, Be My Wife, and Celebrity are just a few that Uche has written or co-authored. The actress has worked as a producer on movies like Holding Hope, Nollywood Hustlers, and Damage. In 2008, she also established Uche Jombo Studios Production firm, her film production firm. She also recently appeared in Shanty Town on Netflix.

Uche has been a brand ambassador for Globacom and many businesses, including telecommunications and health and fitness companies, in addition to acting, producing, and writing. Jombo is also an entrepreneur.

She began executive producing her movies in 2008 through the production arm of her Uche Jombo studio. She gave birth to her son Matthew after marrying Kenny Rodriguez in 2012 and started directing in 2015.
