The lead track from German DJ, musician, and record producer Robin Alexander Schulz’s debut album was made available on February 4, 2014, as a remix of the song “Waves” by Dutch hip-hop artist Mr. Probz. This remix was later nominated for the Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical Grammy Award at the 57th Annual Grammy Awards. His second single, released on June 6, 2014, was a remix of “Prayer in C” by Lilly Wood and the Prick from their 2010 album Invincible Friends. Due to both remixes reaching the top charts in numerous European and American countries, Schulz has gained recognition on a global scale. He co-founded Lausbuben Records with Daniel Bruns and Christopher Noble.

And now, the highly acclaimed singer-songwriter Robin Schulz has returned with his latest album, “Pink”. This captivating release boasts infectious melodies and mesmerizing lyrics that perfectly showcase Schulz’s exceptional talent and unique musical style. The songs blend pop, electronic, and dance elements, creating an unforgettable listening experience.

Tracks And Features

The album commences with a captivating instrumental piece entitled “Intro,” which serves as a prelude to the exciting dance adventure ahead. The following track, “Smash My Heart,” features the beautiful harmonies of female vocalists and poignant lyrics about the ups and downs of love and heartbreak. “No Drama,” on the other hand, sees Robin shifting his focus towards financial gain and ensuring that the dancefloor remains lively and energetic.

The song “Killer Queen” features a passionate admission from the vocalist regarding their love interest’s impact on them. Even though their presence drives the vocalist crazy, there is an underlying sense of acceptance and appreciation for their partner’s influence. Additionally, another standout track on the album is “Sweet Goodbye.” Here, Robin expresses his adoration for his lover in the moonlight, acknowledging that he was blinded by his blessings while yearning for her. The song is a beautiful testament to the power of love and the transformative effect it can have.

“Echoes” offers a little interlude from the vocalizations as only backing support can be heard in the background as this instrumental composition keeps the floor hot with moves. The rhythmic beats of David Guetta’s latest effort with Robin fill the room, with the instrumental backing audible. The composition of “On Repeat” is extravagant, boasting impressive melodic and vocal arrangements that will leave a lasting impression. Tom Walker lends his talents to “Sun Will Shine,” a captivating pop track that will delight listeners with its catchy melodies and upbeat tempo.

With Tom Walker as the featured artist, “Sun Will Shine” adopts a pop-like ballad tempo while incorporating the album’s dance components. This upbeat song gives the impression that it speaks directly to the listener, encouraging them to relax and trust that everything will be fine. The track explores messages of strength, courage, hope, and friendship. Through Tom Walker’s soulful vocals, “Sun Will Shine” delivers a powerful and uplifting message that resonates with listeners. The lyrics beautifully convey that even in the darkest times, there is always a glimmer of light and a reason to keep pushing forward.

Alle Farben and Israel Kamakawiwo’ole are featured in “Somewhere Over the Rainbow/What a Wonderful World.” It includes a sample of Louis Armstrong’s “What a Wonderful World,” which clearly expresses themes of appreciation for life and nature. The acoustic/ukelele feel of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow/What a Wonderful World” by Alle Farben and Israel Kamakawiwo’ole beautifully combines elements of both songs, creating a unique and enchanting rendition. The inclusion of Louis Armstrong’s iconic “What a Wonderful World” sample adds a nostalgic touch, further emphasizing the song’s heartfelt message of gratitude and admiration for the world around us.

The brilliant “Waiting for the Sunshine” is the album’s finale, gradually ending the dancing as the tempo drops. The listening journey comes to an idyllic end with this compositional arrangement featuring a backing vocal singing the lyrics “waiting for the sunshine.” The soft and melodic tones of the backing vocal create a sense of tranquillity as if basking in the warmth of the sun’s rays. This final track leaves listeners with hope and anticipation for brighter days ahead.
