- RM - Kim Namjoon Biography

Kim Namjoon is a South Korean vocalist, songwriter, rapper, and record producer. He can speak Korean and Japanese. He is noted for his unique musical style and charismatic stage presence.

As of 2016, he has released three full-length albums as a member of BTS and seven solo singles. He also participated as a composer and lyricist in various albums released by the group’s members. In 2017, Time magazine named Namjoon among its “Next Generation Leaders.”

Formerly known as Rap Monster, the songster changed it to just the initials (RM). He is the leader of the South Korean boy band and one of the most respected in the group.

Kim Namjoon is also one of the most respected figures in Korean hip-hop.

Besides music, the songster is also involved in philanthropic activities. For instance, when he turned 25, he donated 100 million won to the Seoul Samsun School to help the hearing impaired who were receiving education in music.

He also donated another 100 million won to the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art. For this donation, which would aid the printing and distribution of rare art books to remote regions, the Arts Council of Korea gave him the Patron of the Arts Award in 2020.

Born February 18, 1994, Kim Seok-jin is a South Korean rapper and leader of the Bangtan Boys (BTS) boy band, one of the most popular K-Pop groups of all time. He is frequently a lead dancer and has choreographed many songs for the group. He was listed in Forbes’ 30 under 30.

He made his debut in 2013 as an original member of the boy group BTS, managed by Big Hit Entertainment. He released his first mixtape, “Hope World,” on March 2, 2018.

Kim Seok-jin, who is justly famous for his skills in rapping and songwriting, is the main vocalist of the South Korean boy band BTS. Before his debut, he made several appearances in the group.

He debuted on June 12, 2013, as part of BTS on Mnet’s M! Countdown with the track “No More Dream.”

He is one of the few musicians who have combined the world of music with the world of acting. Kim began his acting career in 2005 through a younger role in the Grim Reaper. After showing powerful acting in Signal, Kim started to gain popularity in the entertainment industry. He was invited to appear on many different variety shows for SBS, MNet, and after the success of KBS.

- J-Hope - Jung Hoseok Biography

Jung Hoseok, long famous by the adopted stage name J-Hope, was born on February 18, 1994. Initially he was supposed to be named Jung Min-hope; however, his grandfather’s name is ‘Min-hope,’ so his parents decided to add ‘H’ instead.

His stage name Hope, references the fact that he gets everybody’s hope. Hoseok grew up in Gwangju, near the DMZ, and lived there until he turned 13, a year after his wealthy father went bankrupt.

He is known for his sense of humour and optimism and sometimes becomes a source of light for others. He is also known for writing some of BTS’s songs and being the group’s foodie.

Interestingly, Jung Hoseok is also one of the BTS members with a keen interest in acting. The former South Korean Idol singer, actor, and dancer is best known for his leading roles in the films Dokgo Rewind (2016) and (2017); and for acting in Dream High (2011). In 2014, he made his big-screen debut alongside Kim Soo-Hyun in The Cart.

- Suga - Min Yoongi Biography

Min Yoongi is a member of the K-pop collective BTS. He was born on December 30, 1993, in Seoul, South Korea. He was an elementary school teacher before he became a member of BTS.

He is an elementary school teacher by training and has been a member of BTS since 2013. He’s extremely confident in his talents as a singer and dancer and was scouted for his incredible skills at street dancing.

He joined the band, consisting of members Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook in 2013.   He is a rapper and sub-vocalist with the group. He is also involved in producing music for the group’s albums.

Min Yoongi breathes life into his performances, and his voice is profound. He used to do street dancing, but BigHit Entertainment scouted him in 2011 during his street-dancing rehearsal in Myeondong. He graduated from Konkuk University with a major in film.

At the university, he was the leader of an underground hip-hop collective. He stands out for many qualities, including his deep voice. He’s known for being the lead vocalist of the South Korean boy band.

Besides writing and producing BTS music, he is a dancer and rapper. It has been said that dancing is one of his core weaknesses.

- V - Kim Taehyung Biography

Born November 4, 1995, Kim Taehyung, also known as V, is a South Korean singer and actor. Although he was born in Daegu, His family moved to Busan later when he was still young. His music career was rooted firmly when he moved to the country’s capital, Seoul.

In early middle school, the songster started taking saxophone lessons, which would greatly aid his music adventures much later.

He debuted in the boy group BTS in 2013 as a vocalist and dancer. But he was a group member before he was formally announced as part of it. So he was more like a “secret member.”

Recalling that period, the songster would say that it made him feel uneasy as he feared that he would be cut off as a member of the musical collective. It’s all calm and rosy now, though.

Taehyung has been involved with Big Hit Entertainment’s talent agency since middle school and became one of the youngest trainees at 14 years old.

He attended the School of Performing Arts Seoul along with fellow group members. His music career didn’t begin with BTS, however. Before joining BTS, he was a member of the group Roo’ra.

Kim Taehyung is the youngest of three siblings. Interestingly, they are all into music.

- Park Ji-min - Park Jimin Biography

Park Jimin is a South Korean singer and actor. He grew up in Busan and began auditioning at the age of fifteen. Upon winning 1st place runner-up in a Korean television competition show, he was more determined to join the music industry.

Thanks to his success at the show, he snapped a recording deal with Big Hit Entertainment. As a result, he became a Bangtan Boys (BTS) member under BigHit Entertainment.

The band made their first televised appearance on Mnet’s M! Countdown on June 13, 2013, with the song “No More Dream” from their debut single album “2 Cool 4 Skool.”

They were also labelmates of Psy. After several small albums, BTS released their most successful work to date, the 10-track EP dubbed “Skool Luv Affair,” in 2014, which was later followed by “Dark & Wild” in 2015 and “The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Part 2” in 2016.

Park graduated from Konkuk University with a major in Applied Music on February 13, 2017.

He might be young, but he’s also one of the most influential musicians in South Africa. In a survey conducted by Gallup Korea in 2016, he was ranked the 14th most popular idol.

He leaped seven steps a year later, taking the 7th position in the rankings. 2018 and 2019 were incredible years for him, as he was ranked number 1, the only idol to take the top of the rankings for two years consecutively.

- Jungkook - Jeon Jeongguk Biography

Jeon Jeongguk was born in Busan, South Korea, on September 1, 1997. He has an older and a younger sister, who are both actresses. He attended the Department of Theater and Film at Dongguk University.

He began his acting career in 2011 as a child actor, notably playing the role of young Choi Hyun Suk on The Birth of a Family (2011). He also starred in secondary roles in various dramas such as Dream High 2 (2012), Three Days (2014), The Iron Empress (2015), and others.

In 2015, he played a supporting role in the film Ode to My Father. He is a member of the South Korean boy band Bangtan Boys (BTS) and also one of the group members with a deep connection to the world of film.

The group’s third extended play, “The Most Beautiful Moment in Life Pt 1,” debuted at number seven on the Billboard World Albums Chart. In contrast, their fourth mini-album, “The Most Beautiful Moment in Life: Young Forever,” peaked at number one on the United States Billboard Top Rock Albums Chart.

Jeon Jeongguk is considered the modern face of K-pop. He attended the International School of Seoul before studying at Bangui University.

He appeared in an episode of the reality television show Let’s Cokeplay: Mnet Battle Shinhwa, where he befriended fellow member Kim Taehyung (a.k.a V of BTS). After his appearance on the show, he signed with Big Hit Entertainment with the rest of his bandmates and made his official debut as a member of BTS in 2013.
