Boy Spyce Biography
Ugbekile David Osemeke, an Afrobeat musician from Nigeria, goes by the stage name Boy Spyce. He was born on 10 May 2001 to Mr. and Mrs. Ugbekile in the Nigerian state of Edo. On Jakande Estate Isolo, he spent his formative years growing up.
Boy Spyce has always had a passion for music, and when he was a young adolescent, he frequently posted freestyles on social media. He rose to prominence due to Wizkid’s viral cover of Tems’ song “Essence,” which attracted much attention. After receiving encouraging comments from his followers, he devoted himself to music professionally.
The gifted musician attended Lagos State Model College Kankon in Badagry. Boy Spyce is believed to be pursuing accounting at an unnamed tertiary institution right now, even though little is known about his educational background.
He is the last born in a family of seven children.
Not much has been shared with the public by Boy Spyce about his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ugbekile. However, it is known that they’ve been residents of Lagos State’s Jakande Estate in Isolo for over 20 years.

Don Jazzy, a well-known Nigerian music producer and the founder of Mavin Records, confirmed Boy Spyce’s signing to his label on 14 April 2022. Don Jazzy disclosed that he had closely monitored the young man since 2019. On 15 April 2022, He eventually entered the music industry by releasing his “Boy Spyce” debut EP project under his new record label.
At the Lagos Fashion Week in November 2022, singer and songwriter BoySpyce graced the runway for African fashion houses Pepper Row and Bloke. He sported a multicolored striped suit for Pepper Row and a white two-piece with blue, green, and red footprints marked for Bloke while rocking his blonde hair.
Boy Spyce returned with the catchy song Folake to start the new year off strong. After releasing his self-titled EP at his unveiling in April 2022 and contributing to the Mavin All-Star LP Chapter X, the fashion-conscious young man removed all questions about his musical ability. His honey-laced tunes constantly leave his listeners in awe, thanks to his distinctive vocals and the profundity of his compelling narration.
To date, Boy Spyce is reported to have about 11 songs in total, including his Mavin collaborations and excluding features. These songs include Smile, Weather For Two, Dreams, Folake, Wayo, Destiny, Overloading, You, Bad Things, and Won Da Mo.
The musician is not currently dating anyone. However, in one of his most recent interviews, he jokingly claimed he is dating all his female followers. He also mentioned that he is dating his microphone in a different interview with Cool FM Nigeria, suggesting he is focused on his music profession.
He is said to be estimated worth around $100,000, and most of this comes from the digital sales and streams of his musical content, Shows, amongst other promotional and ambassadorial endeavors.

Don Jazzy, a record producer and recording musician, formed the Nigerian music firm Mavin Records (also known as the Supreme Mavin Dynasty) on 8 May 2012. The establishment of the label resulted from the closure of Mo’ Hits Records, a record company run by the aforementioned producer and D’banj. Korede Bello, Dr. SID, D’Prince, Di’Ja, Johnny Drille, Ladipoe, DNA Twins, Rema, Crayon, Ayra Starr, Magixx, Boy Spyce, and Bayanni are just a few of the musical artists who call the label home. The label’s compilation CD Solar Plexus was available on 8 May 2012.
Also, it has producers like Jazzy himself, Altims, London, Baby Fresh, and Andre Vibez. 2014, DJ Big N took on the role of the label’s official disc jockey. The label had previously signed Tiwa Savage, Wande Coal, Reekado Banks, and Iyanya.
Kupanda Holdings, a Kupanda Capital and TPG Growth division, invested several million dollars in Mavin Records in January 2019.
