Adekunle Gold And Yemi Alade Billed To Appear On James Samuel’s Forthcoming Album

Together with its talented artists, the Afrobeats genre continues to be influential and a household name. That said, Afrobeats superstars, Adekunle Gold and Yemi Alade, were invited to appear on the music of Jeymes Samuel’s next movie, “Book of Clarence.”

British composer and director Jeymes Samuel is the writer and producer of the 2024 adventure film “The Book of Clarence.” The movie is scheduled to debut on January 12, 2024.

Yemi Alade and Adekunle will be featured in the musical score, in addition to other international performers like Doja Cat, Jay-Z, Lil’ Wayne, Jorja Smith, and others. The movie also stars David Oyelowo, Eric Kofi-Abrefa, a British-Ghanaian actor, and Babs Olusanmokun, an American-Nigerian actress.

Unlike Yemi Alade, who was featured on Beyoncé’s “Black is King” album before, Adekunle Gold will be making his feature debut in an international film. Tekno, and Mama Africa—a prominent moniker for Yemi Alade—worked together with queen Bey on the song “Don’t Jealous Me.”

A daring new interpretation of the classic Biblical narrative set in Hollywood is presented in The Book of Clarence. Streetwise but struggling, Clarence (played by LaKeith Stanfield) attempts to prove that he’s not a nobody, find a better life for himself and his family, and finally earn the lady he loves.
