Andrea Bocelli Honors His 3 Decades In The Music Business With A 3-Day Concert Event And Concert Film
Andrea Bocelli is commemorating his three decades in the music industry. In his hometown of Lajatico, Italy, the singer will hold Andrea Bocelli 30: The Celebration over three days on July 15, 17, and 19.
The celebration will be held at the Teatro del Silenzio in Tuscany, and a number of other celebrities, including Ed Sheeran, Shania Twain, Jon Batiste, Russell Crowe, Sofia Vergara, David Foster, Christian Nodal, Sofia Carson, Laura Pausini, Tiziano Ferro, Zucchero, Giorgia, and his kids Matteo and Virginia, will be making appearances and performing.
Alongside the 65-year-old vocalist, classical performers Placido Domingo, Jose Carreras, Lang Lang, Aida Garifullina, Bryn Terfel, and Nadine Sierra will also perform. A concert film featuring Bocelli’s performance will be created by Mercury Studios, Maverick, Impact Productions, and CITYSOUND & Events in addition to the three-day event. Sam Wrench, an Emmy Award winner and Grammy nominee, will helm the forthcoming production.
Additionally, on April 18, Bocelli gave a performance for One World: Together at Home, a virtual concert organized by Global Citizen and the World Health Organization. In order to support local and regional charities who are helping those in need of food, shelter, and healthcare amidst the current health crisis, money was raised through the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund.
Through the Andrea Bocelli Foundation, Bocelli has also launched an urgent GoFundMe effort to buy supplies for a hospital in Camerino, Italy, including monitors and respirators.
