ARDN, an up-and-coming rapper, has released his latest single “Runner Up,” the second track from his soon-to-be-released debut EP ‘The Bronze Age’ on Capitol Records. The song is now available to stream

ARDN explains that the song “Runner Up” is a reflection of his lifelong struggle with feeling disregarded and underestimated. The song serves as an anthem to his determination to break free from the expectations and limits of others, not just for himself but also for those he loves.Ardn Releases New Single “Runner Up”, Yours Truly, News, May 7, 2024

The South African-born, Canadian-raised singer-songwriter has recently completed a successful Canadian and European tour with Isaiah Rashad, and he has been mesmerizing audiences with his real storytelling and musical flow.

ARDN rose to prominence in 2022 after his song “Til The Morning” went viral on TikTok, drawing inspiration from notable musicians such as J.Cole, Smino, and Anderson.Paak. Since then, the emerging celebrity has had over 10 million TikTok views and has been in over 240,000 “creates.”

His music has gone viral on the internet, with over 461,000 monthly Spotify listeners and over 22 million total listens across several platforms.

The title ‘The Bronze Age’ has special significance for ARDN. Ardon’s given name translates to “bronze” in Hebrew, and he loves the historical reference to a period in ancient history marked by a tremendous technical breakthrough.

ARDN thinks that his EP will be groundbreaking and have a similar impact on the music landscape. Years of mastering his skill before sharing his music with the public built in him a strong sense of self-belief, which today motivates him as he performs on stages throughout the world and ushers in his own new era.

ARDN has created soulful hip-hop songs with live instrumentation and smooth beats to serve as a backdrop for his growing-up memories. With great depth and maturity, his work addresses emotional subjects such as familial expectations, relationships, and personal aspirations.

ARDN has amassed over 22 million streams across platforms after attaining viral fame on TikTok in 2022 with “Til the Morning,” a song addressing his anxiety and depression. He has also backed Isaiah Rashad on tours around Canada and Europe. As ARDN prepares to release ‘The Bronze Age’ EP on Capitol Records, he stays confident in his craft while still acknowledging that he has a point to prove.

As a first-generation child born in South Africa to Burundian parents and raised in Edmonton, Alberta, ARDN felt the expectation to perform academically. Rather than immediately pursuing music, he put his promising career on wait to attend university. After a year of school, ARDN decided to take a year off and focus on his second mixtape, ‘Alien,’ which was inspired by the designation on his South African birth certificate.
