Ice Spice Reveals Taylor Swift’s Advice That She’ll “Never Forget”

The blossoming sisterly love between Taylor Swift and Ice Spice has seen netizens and fans of the celebrities express welcoming reactions to the connection and Ice Spice has decided to share with her fans some of the good advice her colleague has been giving her since they became friends. While they were working on “Karma” in the studio together, Ice Spice claims that Taylor Swift gave her some wise counsel that she will always remember. In May 2023, the two collaborated on the song “Karma.” Following that, they have since went to Super Bowl LVIII together and given concerts performances together at the MetLife Stadium.

Spice discussed the lessons the legendary singer taught her in a recent interview with Billboard. She revealed,

“When I was in the studio with Taylor, like, I’ll never forget that. She told me, ‘No matter what, just keep making music and everything’s going to be fine.,”

Spice included working on her first studio album, Y2K, in another section of the conversation. She also acknowledged that she hadn’t anticipated “Boy’s a Liar, Pt. 2” to become as well-known as it did, while also revealing she had more faith in “Actin a Smoochie” doing more numbers than it has so far. She responded when asked what she was on the lookout for assembling the project.

“First, a really hard beat. If the beat doesn’t instantly move me — like if I don’t physically feel the beat of the speakers — then I’m just going to keep moving on to the next one. But as soon as I know, I know I have that beat. It’s up from there.”

“I thought that ‘Actin a Smoochie’ would be a bigger song. Every time I hear it, I’m just gagged that it’s not bigger. [But] ‘Boy’s a liar, Pt. 2,’ I never thought that song would be as big as it is. I knew it would be a big moment, but I didn’t think it would be triple-platinum.”
