The vintage comedy routine by rising star singer Asake and comedian Bro Shaggi has shocked social media fans. Asake, who rose to fame after the publication of several of his songs that have dominated the music industry, has recently popped up in conversation as memories of his humble beginnings return.
In a retro sketch, Asake bemoaned the fact that he had been performing songs for years without getting any notice and that nobody had ever supported his career. However, internet users made amusing assumptions that Asake may have taken Bro Shaggi’s advise to advance his musical career through fetish means as mentioned in one of the skits.

Asake has since transformed from an undervalued musician to a major player in the music industry. Even the Headies could not ignore his musical achievements. Asake received a total of eight nominations, making history as the first artist to win so many Headies in their first year of competition.
The YBNL signee also created history by becoming the first musician to receive nominations for both “Best Male Artiste of The Year” and “Next Rated” at the same time. Asake also has the most nominations at the 16th Headies, trailing only Burna Boy, who has eleven. Asake rise to fame is a true example of a rags-to-riches story.
