Ashanti Is Reportedly Expecting Her First Child With Nelly
After rekindling their romance earlier this year, US rapper Nelly and his intermittent partner Ashanti are allegedly expecting their first child together. Nearly two decades after their initial breakup, the couple recently got back together, and a source informed Us Weekly that they are “welcoming their first baby together.”
The 49-year-old rapper is already the parent of two adult children—Constellation Haynes III, 24, and Chanelle, 29,—with his former partner, Channetta Valentine. However, the Ashanti pregnancy rumors began few days back at an event hosted by Nelly.
The Grammy-winning rapper held his 11th Black and White Ball event at the Four Seasons Hotel in St. Louis over the weekend, and while there, Ashanti ignited pregnancy rumors. She touched her stomach, giving off the impression that she was trying to hide a baby bump, which sparked rumors that she might be preggers.
Nelly also caressed her stomach as she made the move. They both laughed as Nelly pulled her in for a side embrace, appearing to indicate they had a little one on their way to the audience. Nelly and Ashanti have not yet verified the news or shared anything on social media to indicate that they have a newborn on the way.
