Ashley Fuller Olsen is an American businesswoman, fashion designer, and former actress. Olsen was first known as an actress, a career she began at the age of nine months, sharing the role of Michelle Tanner with her twin sister Mary-Kate Olsen in the television sitcom Full House (1987–1995). The twins starred in several films together as they came of age. Ashley later featured in films independently. With her sister Mary-Kate, Ashley is known for the popular television sitcom “Full House,” which aired from 1987 to 1995.
In March 2012, Ashley and Mary-Kate announced plans to retire as actresses to focus on their careers in the fashion industry. They co-founded the luxury fashion brand The Row, the lifestyle brand Elizabeth and James, and more affordable fashion lines Olsenboye and StyleMint. With her twin sister, Ashley co-authored a book, Influence, which featured interviews with fashion designers who inspired their fashion lines.
