Billie Eilish’s “Barbie” Track Wins Oscar For Best Original Song

Billie Eilish won big at the Oscars on Sunday night, taking home her second Academy Award for Best Original Song with “What Was I Made For?” from the Barbie soundtrack. Eilish is now the proud owner of nine Grammy Awards, two American Music Awards, two Guinness World Records, three MTV Video Music Awards, three Brit Awards, two Golden Globe Awards, and two Academy Awards, making her one of the most awarded artists of our time.

Eilish accepted the award at the ceremony and performed “What Was I Made For?” live, showcasing her incredible talent. Alongside Eilish, other notable performers, such as Jon Batiste and Becky G. “Oppenheimer,” won the Best Picture award. In contrast, Cillian Murphy and Emma Stone won Best Actor and Best Actress in a Leading Role, respectively. During her acceptance speech, Eilish thanked her brother Finneas, who was on stage with her and dedicated the award to those impacted by Barbie. She also gave a shout-out to director Greta Gerwig. Finneas added a joke before they left the stage. Finally, Eilish thanked her dance and choir teachers, who have significantly shaped her career.
