Blaqbonez Releases The Captivating Music Video For His Hit Song “Nyem Ego”

Blaqbonez delivers a visually stunning experience that matches the contagious intensity of “Nyem Ego,” which peaked at number one on the charts. The popular track is taken from his 2023 album “Emeka Must Shine.” The song’s title means “Give me money” in the Igbo language, where it originated.

The “Nyem Ego” music video combines strong cinematography, colorful graphics, hip-hop highlife, and cultural aesthetics. Under Kemz’s direction and Noble Igwe’s styling, the music video director successfully integrated elements of Igbo culture into Blaqbonez and Jeriq’s lyrics, including costume, dance routines, musical instruments, and traditional accessories.

Recently, Blaqbonez and a few senior Chocolate City artists worked together on the nine-minute song “Chocolate City Cypher.” The song brings together industry pioneers like M.I. Abaga, Jesse Jagz, Ice Prince, and Loose Kaynon that greatly influenced the development of Nigerian hip-hop as well as talented young performers like A-Q and Blaqbonez.

Prior to the release of his third LP, “Emeka Must Shine,” Blaq had dropped a two-pack single that changed the trajectory of his career internationally. “Ice Spice,” being one of the singles, quickly took off on TikTok, which created even more buzz for the track, whetting the appetites of his rapidly growing fan base for the critically acclaimed EMS.
