Breakthrough In Mohbad’s Death Investigation As Police Names Key Suspect

In a recent press conference, the Nigerian Police Force provided a comprehensive and in-depth report on the events leading up to the shocking passing of the late rapper Mohbad. Today, October 6, 2023, the Lagos State Command of the Nigerian Police conducted a news conference. Idowu Owohunwa, the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, gave a timeline of the incidents leading up to the unfortunate death of Mohbad during the press conference, underlining the fact that the auxiliary nurse who had treated the late rapper has been listed as a key suspect in the homicide of the musician.

Mr. Idowu Owohunwa, said,

“Five suspects have so far been identified, arrested, detained, and interrogated on their alleged roles in the sequence of events that led to the death of the singer.”

After his performance at Ikorodu on September 10, 2023, Mohbad got into a fight with his friend Primeboy, which resulted in an injury, according to the Commissioner of Police. The late rapper’s wife and friends recommended he go to the hospital for treatment as his hand deteriorated while still bleeding from the wound. It was discovered that it had changed course, causing the wounded hand to swell. Despite the swelling, Mohbad initially hesitated to seek medical attention, hoping the injury would heal.

It was discovered that Mohbad had declined to go to the hospital, resulting in an auxiliary nurse named Ms Feyisayo Ogedengbe treating him at home. The police commissioner continued by saying that it was determined by a group of experts consulted by the Police that the nurse, Ms Feyisayo Ogedengbe, was an unlicensed medical professional who administered multiple injections, possibly leading to the rapper’s demise.

Additionally, he stated that Mohbad received injections of “Tetanus Toxoid, paracetamol, and Cetrazone — an antibiotic” on September 12, 2023, at his home, to treat the injury he had sustained as a result of an altercation with a friend at Ikorodu following the concert. However, the Police made it clear that Sam Larry and Naira Marley are still being looked into for cyberbullying and harassing Mohbad because substantial evidence links them to this area of the inquiry.
