Burna Boy Brings His “I Told Them” Pop-up Event To Lagos
Burna Boy, a musician who has received two Grammy nominations and was recently confirmed to play at the Grammy Awards, has wrapped up a pop-up event in Lagos, Nigeria.
On January 27, 2024, the “I Told Them” pop-up took place at the Shiro in Lagos. Performers including Ice Prince, Naira Marley, and Seyi Vibez graced the occasion. At the gathering were other well-known figures like Poco Lee and Yhemo Lee. Seyi Vibez gave a performance as well.
A video of the three of them having a quick get-together before Burna Boy was supposed to interact with his fans went viral, and Burna Boy’s parents were there to celebrate with their son.
According to reports, a limited edition of “I Told Them” magazine was allegedly up for sale during the event. Just days before his pop-up event, Burna received a nomination for the 2024 BRIT Awards, which will be shown live on March 2, 2024.
The annual British Phonographic Industry awards for popular music are known as the BRIT Awards. Asake and Burna Boy received nominations for International Artiste of the Year.
Both artists will be competing with global superstars like Caroline Polachek, CMAT, Kylie Minogue, Lana Del Rey, Miley Cyrus, Olivia Rodrigo, SZA, and Taylor Swift will compete for the title of International Artiste of the Year.
