Burna Boy Is Now The Most-Streamed Artist On YouTube In All Of Sub-Saharan Africa

The most-streamed artist in Sub-Saharan Africa on YouTube is none other than Afro-fusion star, Damini Ogulu, better known by his stage name, Burna Boy. This is based on updated information that was published on Monday, December 4th via The Top Charts’ X handle.

Burna Boy has now surpassed Tanzanian music legend Naseeb Issack, also known as Diamond Platnumz, who is presently occupying second place with 2.37 billion streams, which is thanks to an astonishing 2.52 billion streams on his songs.

Closely trailing are Ayo Balogun, better known as Wizkid, with 1.76 billion views, and Democratic Republic of the Congo’s Fally Ipupa, with 1.50 billion views.

In addition, the renowned music duo, P-Square, with their 1.12 billion views, is ranked up there together with other Nigerian greats including Davido (1.40 billion views), Flavour Nabania (1.15 billion views), and Ckay (1.23 billion views).

Tekno came in next with 972 million views, followed by Rayvanny from Tanzania with 995 million views. Other artists that appeared on the elite list are Asake and Omah Lay, who also make Spotify’s top five list of most-streamed African artists.

In 2022, Burna Boy made a strong impact with his music, earning him the most-streamed artist in Sub-Saharan Africa on Spotify, placing him second in this year’s rankings, only behind Drake.
