Seyi Vibez Shares What Burna Boy Means To Him On Apple Music Africa Now Radio
In an interview with Dada Boy Ehiz, Seyi Vibez described his sound as an Afrobeats sound that incorporates soul music while also drawing inspiration from Fela Kuti’s Afrobeat, Islamic, and celestial influences.
“My music is just afro soul, with a little Fela Kuti, a little Islamic, and a little celestial vibe.” So there are many different elements in it.
The rapidly growing musician, whose 2022 album “Billion Dollar Baby” propelled him to the forefront of popular culture, claimed that he crafts conscious music, a quality he still maintains while fusing South African Amapiano style.
“I categorize my music as afro-soul.” However, anyone who knows Seyi Vibez knows that I make a lot of conscious music, so when I added South African amapiano to my fusion, I began putting my conscious sound on it.
Regarding Burna Boy singing his song Seyi Vibez tells Ehiz that Burna Boy is a huge inspiration for him, with the two seen hanging out together often. Videos of Burna Boy happily singing along to Seyi Vibez’s “Chance” surfaced on social media recently.
