In an effort to keep the pace in line with the culture, Afro-themed songs’ artists have also been connecting and having fun as they continue to gain popularity across the globe. Rapper Odumodublvck’s line on Shallipopi’s viral song “Cast” caught multiple award-winning singer Burna Boy reacting in a recent video that went viral on social media. As Odumodublvck’s verse on Shallipopi’s smash song “Cast” aired, Burna Boy, who was in the company of his pals and allies Poco Lee and Rahman Jago, was caught on camera at the event in Lagos.
However, this will not be the first time Burna and Odumodu will be associated in the same sentence; weeks ago, the duo had linked up for a collaboration with Teezee.
The line has generated a lot of discussion on social media about whether the lyrics are appropriate for a song in a culture that is still fighting for gender parity. Questions concerning the significance of lyricism and its effects on contemporary culture have also been raised by the song.
