Kendrick Lamar Copyright Rejects, Takes Down Edited Version Of “Meet The Grahams”

Kendrick Lamar’s diss track “Meet the Grahams” against Drake has stirred the music industry. In the song, Lamar launches a severe attack on Drake, accusing him of being fake and phony. However, it’s the third verse that has caused the most controversy. Lamar claims that Drake has an 11-year-old daughter, whom he has neglected to raise since becoming famous. While some have questioned the truthfulness of Lamar’s claim, others have accepted it as accurate. Including such a sensitive topic in his song has sparked fierce debate among fans and critics.

Recently, a Rap Radar member, Elliot Wilson, shared an edited version of “Meet the Grahams” on social media that removed the controversial third verse. However, Lamar was not pleased with this move and filed a copyright violation against the edited version, removing it from all platforms. Lamar has been very involved in the rollout of his music lately, even eliminating the copyrights for his Drake videos to allow content creators to profit from their videos. This unprecedented move has earned him praise from online creators and shows he is unwilling to tolerate censorship of his work.

Ultimately, the unedited version of “Meet the Grahams” remains the only version available. While some may take issue with Lamar’s inclusion of such a sensitive topic in his song, it’s clear that the rapper is standing by his lyrics and refusing to be silenced.
