Davido Proudly Endorses Tunde Onakoya’s Quest To Set A New Guinness World Record In New York

Chess Master Tunde Onakoya is attempting to break the Guinness World Record for the Longest Chess Marathon, and Afrobeats superstar Davido has thrown his support behind him.

Following his thrilling Madison Square Garden performance, Davido traveled to Times Square in New York City to show his support for Tunde Onakoya, the master of Chess in the Slums, as he strives to shatter the record for the Longest Chess Marathon held by the Guinness World Record.

The connection between Tunde and Davido demonstrates the strength of harmony and encouragement in the artistic community. Tunde wants to go above 58 hours. He has now played for more than forty-one hours. The chess match is slated to conclude on April 19, 2024, having begun on April 17.

Additionally, Davido handed Tunde his renowned 30BG chain, which Tunde Onakoya was wearing with pride.

Other well-known people and celebrities have come to see him and offered encouragement. Support was also extended by Nigerian activists Yele Sowore and musician Adekunle Gold. AG contributed cash, brand-new iPads, and gear required for live broadcasting.
