David Adeleke, better known as Davido, a popular Afrobeats singer, has sparked outrage online with a recent video he released. Davido, who is presently touring the world and closing down arenas with his exuberant performances, came to Instagram to share a footage of himself chatting about the success of his album in a room.
He said that he had a gig on July 7th, in Houston and another the following day in Chicago. The singer went on to say that he is pleased with all that is going on around him. He also thanked his supporters for their unwavering support. However, the video elicited some nasty comments from netizens, who suggested that the crooner was with a woman in his hotel room.
However, Davido was unconcerned, as he continues to triumph and shine on a global scale to such an extent that the City of Houston in the United States of America, USA, has named July 7 as Davido Day in honor of the Nigerian afrobeats superstar. Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner issued the official announcement in a statement released on Friday in Houston, Texas.
The Mayor issued the proclamation following Davido’s sold-out tour stop at Houston’s famous Toyota Center. And, at the show, the energy was real, the music was superb, and the performance was on fire.
