Gunna Shares New Music Video For ‘Bittersweet’

Gunna opened the year on a reflective note, digging deep into his thoughts and emotions with his first single of 2024, titled “Bittersweet.” After offering a sneak peek of the frosty track on social media earlier this week, the YSL rapper unleashed the song on streaming services on Friday (Feb. 16), captivating listeners with his lyrical prowess. In the tune, Gunna is candid and straightforward, potentially addressing his fallout with Lil Baby, his Drip Harder collaborator, who has criticized him for accepting a plea deal in the YSL RICO case in 2022. Despite the obstacles and some of the YSL members’ fates still unknown, Gunna remains optimistic about eventually reuniting the crew.

Additionally, Gunna premiered a chilling visual for the song, produced by Working on Dying. The Spike Jordan-directed video depicts the “Fukumean” rapper trudging through the wintery conditions surrounding his snow-lodge property. He showcases his flashy designer winter gear before changing into his workout clothes for a rigorous boxing session, demonstrating his discipline and hard work, leading to his impressive physical transformation. Looking ahead, Gunna is poised to release his upcoming album, “A Gift & a Curse,” later this year. He’s teasing more “substance” in his tracks and is expected to experiment with Afrobeat sounds, showcasing his innovative and diverse musical style. With his latest release, Gunna has again proven why he’s one of the game’s most exciting and talented rappers.
