Acknowledging the influence of B.I.G. on his music, Puff wrote on Instagram,

“Biggie inspired me to become an artist and make this album, so it’s bittersweet to look back on such a pivotal turning point in my life and career that turned Bad Boy into an unstoppable dynasty and cemented our place in Hip Hop history!”

Its hits include “Can’t Nobody Hold Me Down,” “It’s All About the Benjamins,” “Been Around the World,” and the Biggie ode “I’ll Be Missing You,” which became the first rap song to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and held that position for 11 weeks straight. The album is still regarded as a classic today.

On July 22, 1997, No Way Out was made available through Bad Boy and Arista Records. The 17-track collection, which was produced by “The Hitmen,” included members of the Bad Boy family, such as Biggie, Ma$e, Lil’ Kim, The LOX, Faith Evans, and 112, as well as JAY-Z, Busta Rhymes, Ginuwine, and Foxy Brown. With over 7 million copies sold in the United States, it is still Diddy’s best-selling album and was awarded the Grammy for Best Rap Album in 1998.
