Hozier Shares Surprise ‘Unheard’ EP

Hozier, the highly acclaimed Irish singer-songwriter, has surprised fans by releasing an ‘Unheard EP’ featuring four previously unreleased songs. Hozier had earlier hinted at the prospect of new music on social media by sharing a video of his notebook, and it’s exciting to see him delivering on his promises. The ‘Unheard EP’ includes tracks such as ‘Too Sweet’, ‘Empire Now’, ‘Fare Well’, and a final song titled ‘Wildflower and Barley’, which features Allison Russell, the Canadian Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter and activist. These songs were recorded during the sessions for Hozier’s latest album, ‘Unreal Unearth’.

This new EP, released on March 22, marks the first music Hozier has shared since his third album ‘Unreal Unearth’ came out last August. The album’s release propelled him to his first-ever UK Number One, and we’re confident that the ‘Unheard EP’ will continue his winning streak. Hozier has had a fantastic year so far, with a hugely successful run of concerts in 2023, including a surprise set at Glastonbury, a sold-out show at Alexandra Palace Park, and over a million tickets sold worldwide for his headline tour, which included a show at London’s OVO Arena in Wembley. He has three UK headline shows lined up for this year, all happening in July. These concerts will begin with a performance at Finsbury Park in London, his biggest UK headline show. In addition, outdoor shows will take place in Chepstow and Glasgow.

It’s always thrilling to hear new music from our favourite artists, and Hozier’s ‘Unheard EP’ certainly hopes to live up to expectations.

Hozier said of the new release,

“It’s my pleasure to announce the release of more work from the album sessions which could not make the original release,” These are songs that might’ve made it to the circles of gluttony, limbo, violence and the outward ‘ascent’ respectively but could not for different reasons. I’m very glad I’ll get to share them with you.”
