ILLIT’s Viral Track “Magnetic” Earns Them Their First Billboard Hot 100 Hit

K-pop girl trio ILLIT’s viral breakthrough track, “Magnetic,” helped them land their first Billboard Hot 100 success!

A recent Billboard tweet on X (previously Twitter) states that ILLIT’s “Magnetic” will debut on the Hot 100 at position 91. It is the only K-pop act’s debut song to chart on the Hot 100 and the girl group’s first-ever entry on the weekly ranking. ILLIT’s “Magnetic” is becoming more and more popular not only on the Billboard Hot 100 but also on Spotify’s Weekly Music Charts.

As of this writing, it is ranked Number 11 on the worldwide list and Number 47 on the USA-only list. Furthermore, the song has already been used over 370,000 times on TikTok. “Magnetic,” the lead song from ILLIT’s debut mini-album “Super Real Me,” was released on March 25. Wonhee, Minju, Iroha, Moka, and Yunah make up the girl group that was created via the JTBC reality TV program R U Next?

ILLIT appeared in the SS24 worldwide campaign for upscale fashion brand Acne Studios before making their formal debut. This happened soon after ILLIT was seen in the front row of the Acne Studios FW24 Paris Fashion Week show in February.

Since its debut, the group has seen extraordinary commercial success. They have begun to have great success both locally and abroad, breaking into some of the top charts that even seasoned K-pop acts find challenging.
