Burna Boy Soars To New Heights On The Billboard Hot 100 Chart

With 21 Savage’s “Just Like Me,” the self-acclaimed African Giant, Burna Boy, has taken a new position on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

The hit single off 21 Savage’s new album “American Dream,” “Just Like Me,” featuring Burna Boy and Metro Boomin, debuted at number 67 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts. As a result, Burna Boy and Tems, a Nigerian singer and producer, are now tied for the most charting African artists in the history of the Billboard Hot 100.

The African Gaint currently has five charting songs: “Last Last,” “Loved by You,” “Sittin’ on Top of the World,” with 21 Savage, “Taliban II,” and now “Just Like Me.” All of these songs have hit the Billboard Hot 100.

However, Tems has also managed to land five songs on the Billboard Hot 100 charts: “Free Mind,” “Essence” by Wizkid, “Move” by Beyonce featuring Grace Jones, “Wait For You” by Future featuring Drake, and “Fountains” by Drake.

Burna Boy is now the first Nigerian musician with the most Grammy nominations in addition to his new position on Billboard. He has received more nominations than any other Nigerian, with 10 in total.

Additionally, the African powerhouse will make history by being the first African musician to perform at the Grammy Awards live event on February 5, 2024.
