Iyabo Ojo Lashes Out At Critics Over Tax Allegations
Controversial Iyabo Ojo, a Nollywood actress, has blasted critics over the ongoing disputes with the Lagos State administration. As we had previously reported, the Nollywood actress used social media to criticize the Lagos State Governor as well as the entire state government for the odd tax bill they had sent her.
Iyabo Ojo has a tax debt of N7,376,000.00 for the year 2022 and an outstanding responsibility of N11,264,092 for the income year 2021, according to the image of the notice that she received from the Lagos State Government. Iyabo Ojo responded with a lengthy post on her Instagram page, criticizing the government for coming up with such an absurd sum.
The actress said she had previously complained about the tax issue, but nothing had been done. She continued by saying that since she is not making any payments, the Sanwo-Olu are free to kill, imprison, or arrest her. Social media users insulted and teased her over the situation while bringing up her support for Peter Obi, the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate.
The actress uploaded another tweet declaring she will not submit to any tribal bigots after subsequently deleting the social media post criticizing Sanwo-Olu. She also reaffirmed her support for Peter Obi and said she would not be scared to speak up for a better Nigeria.
