Gucci Mane And Rae Sremmurd Inch Close To Their First Diamond-Certified Single

Trap superstars, Rae Sremmurd and Gucci Mane are sneaking up on their first diamond accolades for their breakout 2016 song, “Black Beatles.”

Chart Data indicates that the song is only one million sales away from diamond status, having recently received a 9x platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

Rae Sremmurd and Gucci both achieved their first No. 1 single on the Billboard Hot 100 with the Mike WiLL Made-It produced song, largely because of the viral success of the “Mannequin Challenge” that went along with it. Although this will be the Sremmurd team’s first certification of this grade, Swae Lee has already accomplished the success with his 2018 Post Malone duet, “Sunflower.”

As of right now, it has a 2x diamond rating. In an interview with Complex last year, Rae Sremmurd listed all the ways they think they’ve altered the appearance and sound of hip-hop. With a string of hits including “No Type,” “Come Get Her,” “Swang,” “Black Beatles,” “No Flex Zone,” “Throw Sum Mo,” and others in the mid-2010s, the fervent brothers from Mississippi came rushing out of the gate and put the hip-hop world on notice.

Additionally, months ago, the rap duo released “Sremm 4 Life,” the fourth installment to their hit album series, “Sremm Life.”
