JAY-Z Scheduled To Host A Celebrity Blackjack Tournament To Profit Prison Reform

Later this month, JAY-Z will organize a blackjack event with a James Bond theme to raise money for his REFORM Alliance. Page Six reports that on September 30, Hov’s celebrity tournament would take place at the Oceans Casino Resort in Atlantic City. The private blackjack party will have a $1 million pot, with a $100,000 entry fee buy-in for participants, so there will be plenty of money moving across the casino floor.

It comes as no surprise, though, that celebrities like Travis Scott, Megan Thee Stallion, Kim Kardashian, DJ Khaled, NBA player James Harden, and model Emily Ratajkowski are expected to be on the guest list. The REFORM Alliance board of directors has asked Kevin Hart to emcee the event.

The group “aims to transform probation and parole by changing laws, systems, and culture to create real pathways to work and wellbeing,” according to its website. According to Page Six, approximately 10 to 15 helicopters will transport visitors from New York City airports to Atlantic City throughout the night.

“It was Jay’s idea to make a really small, incredibly exclusive event with the best people in the world,” said one source. “You can’t buy your way into this party.”

After generating $20 million for REFORM Alliance with his Shawn Carter Foundation Gala in July, the Brooklyn businessman intends to raise an extra $20 million through the blackjack tournament.
