Singer has defended controversies-linked celebrities charged with indecent harassment, so Lizzo’s hiring him drew criticism. Chris Brown, a musician charged with domestic violence, is an example of such a case. He also assisted comedian Bill Cosby in getting his sentence for abusing women’s sex overturned. Some people were offended by her decision to approach Singer.

Lizzo is being sued for weight discrimination and forcing three former dancers—who worked on her Special Tour and appeared with her in the Big Grrrls—to partake in pornographic activities. She responded to the accusations on her social media account by calling them “sensationalized stories.”
