Kanye West Named In LA Battery Case

There have been reports of Kanye West being the main suspect in a battery case involving an unnamed man in Los Angeles. According to TMZ, West is alleged to have physically assaulted the man by punching him in the face after he pushed or shoved West’s wife, Bianca Censori. The LAPD has confirmed that they will question both West and Censori, along with several witnesses. The incident is said to have taken place on Tuesday, April 16th. TMZ also confirms that the man in question did not require any medical treatment for his injuries. West’s chief of staff, Milo Yiannopoulous, released a statement to provide context for the altercation. The statement claims that West was defending his wife after the man physically attacked her. According to the statement, the man put his hands under Censori’s dress and grabbed her waist, spinning her around before blowing her kisses. West then stepped in and struck the man.

This is not the first time that West has faced assault and battery charges. In January, the rapper allegedly beat up a fan who asked for an autograph, and he also got into an altercation with an LA photographer that same month. In both instances, West has denied any wrongdoing and deflected criticism of his public outbursts. In February, he defended his relationship with Censori, saying he would post about her as much as he wanted because it would make him happy.
