Kanye West’s Quest To Perform A Free Show In Brazil Foiled By Authorities

Brazilian authorities have firmly denied Kanye West’s request to play a free concert for his supporters.

Since West is a controversial rapper, promoters and venues are unwilling to work with him on his planned global tour, which would have taken him as far as Australia and the Middle East. West reportedly wanted to play in Brazil, more precisely, a free show on the well-known Copacabana beach in Rio De Janeiro, replicating an iconic Rolling Stones event from 2006. This was reported by The U.S. Sun.

Nonetheless, due to his “controversial” reputation and recent antisemitic remarks, Brazilian authorities have rejected Kanye’s request to perform. Kanye considered doing free shows at Rio’s Maracena Stadium and the Nilton Santos Olympic Stadium in addition to the Copacabana event, but both venues were turned down.

In Sao Paolo, Salvador, and Belo Horizonte, promoters and local government likewise declined to work with the West. Regarding the inability to get a performance in the South American nation, West has not yet responded.

Due to his recent antisemitic sentiments, West has reportedly rehired former manager John Monopoly to assist with organizing a world tour. However, the tour has had difficulty getting off the ground since big tour operators AEG and Live Nation refuse to work with him.
