Kemi Olunloyo Says Davido Has Been “Blacklisted” In Dubai Over “Offensive” Religious Video

According to well-known journalist Kemi Olunloyo, the controversial music video that Afrobeats musician Davido appeared in has caused him to be blacklisted in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. She posted the assertions on Twitter after the singer came under fire for posting a link to the contentious religious music video by one of his signees, Logos Olori, on his Twitter page.

The signee of Davido, Logos Olori, is seen in the video singing a secular song while some Muslims are seen praying in white clothing. A group of men wearing white “jalamiya” were seen in the footage praying before abruptly changing to dancing in front of a mosque. OBO, in the tweet, captioned:
“Allow me to re-introduce, @logosori with his new single “Jaye Lo”… Lets Run It Up one time! Let’s take over the world.”
However, faithful Muslims did not receive his tweet well because they believed the video’s content was offensive to Islam. If he didn’t remove the video and offer an apology, many people vowed to stop downloading his music, and others threatened to report him or take matters into their own hands.
Kemi Olunloyo hinted that the singer and his signee were on Dubai’s “blacklist” amid the backlash. She advised Davido to stay away from Dubai because jihadists are keeping an eye on him. Kemi Olunloyo said:
“#RIPDavido🕋🕌🙏🏾🎶 Blacklisted in Dubai 😂 @logosolori this ain’t Sunday Service by Kanye. Muslim Jihadists are coming for Davido soon. He better not step into Dubai 😂😂😂🕌🌙🕋I’m sipping tea in my corner 🫖☕️#Kemitalks🗣️”
