Netizens Drag Yhemolee For “Disrespecting” Wizkid In Viral Video
The reactions of actor Idowu Adeyemi, better known by his stage name Yhemolee, in a video showing him hanging out at a Lagos nightclub with music artist Ayo ‘Wizkid’ Balogun has drawn fire. Wizkid has been spending time amongst his fellow entertainers in Lagos since his return for his mom’s memorial and has been having a splendid time,, as evidenced by the trending videos that flood social media anytime he steps out.
The video, which went viral on social media, showed Yhemolee excessively fawning over Wizkid and constantly seeking his attention. Many viewers found his behaviour overly obsequious and attention-seeking, leading to a wave of criticism directed towards the actor. Some questioned his authenticity and accused him of trying too hard to gain popularity by associating himself with the music star. The widely circulated viral video captures the moment Wizkid entered the club and was greeted as a man called him Popsy as they exchanged pleasantries. A different video from the club captured when Yhemolee arrived to greet the Afrobeat titan and put his hand on Wizkid’s shoulder as they strolled together. By the end, Wizkid seemed to have taken his hand off. Netizens took to the comments to express how they felt about the “disrespect.”
Wizkid, who made headlines recently for giving Hypeman Money Gee N20 million for dedicating a song to him, was seen having a good time at the club in another clip.
