Nicki Minaj brought her A-Game to James Corden’s The Late Late Show, as she put on a show doing an Adele impression to the viewing pleasure of everyone.
Lately, the rapper had been trending across social media, dropping hints about new upcoming projects following her collab with Lil Baby on “Do We Have a Problem?” which has raked in almost 2 million views on YouTube after its release.
Going steady with her ongoing promo run, the rap queen made an appearance on The Late Late Show starring James Corden. The two discussed the rapper’s upcoming plans, revisiting an old “Carpool Karaoke” memory of when Adele had performed Nicki’s verse of “Monster”.
“Well, We’ve heard Adele’s impression of Nicki Minaj,” Corden said. “What does Nicki Minaj’s impression of Adele sound like?” he inquired from the rapper.
On cue, Nicki switched right into her British accent. “All right, in order for me to channel Adele, I sort of have to think like a Black lady in London,” she explained. “Because, the thing is, normally everybody knows, my British accent is sort of like a posh white lady.”
She also disclosed some info about a film with 50 Cent being “in talks”, and about her forthcoming album arriving sooner than fans expect. Check out the clip with Corden right below:
