Patoranking Delivers “World Best,” His Fourth Studio Album

The fourth album by Nigerian dancehall fusion master Patoranking Fire, titled “World Best,” was just published.

The September 7, 2023, album follows the releases of the singles “Tonight” with Popcaan, “Abobi,” and “Kolo Kolo” featuring Diamond Platnumz. The American hip hop artist Ludacris, Jamaica’s own Dancehall Icon don Beenie Man, and Kingston’s Music General Popcaan are just a few of the foreign idols that Patoranking employs.

His native sound is cultivated by additional brilliant African collaborators, including as hitmakers Kizz Daniel and Diamond Platnumz, as well as up-and-comers Victony, Gyakie, and British-Nigerian wonder Zion Foster. The LP’s production ranges from beautiful instruments to artificial beats, and it is delivered by an all-star ensemble of emerging and well-known African producers. Phantom (Nigeria), Kel P (Nigeria), Killertunes (Nigeria), C-Tea (Ghana), Mix Master Garzy (Ghana), and numerous other artists are on the list.

Key cuts from World Best have been continuously released by Patoranking throughout the past year. At the recent East Africa Arts Entertainment Awards (EAEA), the Diamond Platnumz and Young Willis produced song “Kolo Kolo” took home the award for Best East Meets West Collaboration.

“Higher,” a spiritually uplifting song by Patoranking that included soft glowing synth chords and crackling percussion, was released during the summer, after which followed the Popcaan-featured “Tonight.” Both songs are featured on the new album, which is now available on all streaming platforms.
