At a private listening party hosted in Westlands, Nairobi, Nigerian music sensation Patrick Nnaemeka Okorie, better known by his stage name Patoranking, recently pleased fans by performing songs from his soon-to-be-released album, “World’s Best.”
On August 25, an astonishing number of people from the music industry attended the event at Vanguard Lounge, including Chimano, Sauti Sol’s Bien Aime Baraza, Boomplay officials, important players from the lifestyle sector, and journalists. The event featured Patoranking, who frequently refers to himself as the best musician in the world, performing the entirety of his album, which would reportedly feature 15 tracks.
On September 6, the record will be officially released, much to the delight of his devoted admirers. Patoranking, particularly in the dancehall genre, has established himself as a trailblazer in the African music landscape. He has a sizable fan base and has received favorable reviews for his avant-garde musical style.
His originality and honesty are evident in every release. A string of popular albums have characterized Patoranking’s musical career. His 2016 debut album attracted attention all around the world and peaked at number one on Billboard’s Reggae albums chart.
