Pharrell Williams’ Black Ambition Initiative Unveils Its Fourth Annual Prize Competition

Pharrell Williams has announced that the fourth annual Black Ambition award Competition is officially accepting applications for the 2024 award cycle.

Williams founded the non-profit organization Black Ambition with the goal of giving Black and Latinx entrepreneurs starting start-ups in the tech, design, healthcare, and consumer products and services sectors a path to success. Black Ambition wants to empower underrepresented founders and act as a platform for innovation in order to address the wealth gap between races.

The following verticals are eligible for the 2024 prize: media and entertainment, consumer goods and services, healthcare, technology (including Web 3.0), and technology. Artificial Intelligence is a recently developed vertical. A three-month cohort-based mentorship program will be extended to up to 250 semi-finalists, and one outstanding winner will walk away with the coveted $1,000,000 award.

Since the program’s launch in 2020, it has given over $100 million to more than 100 Black and Hispanic founders and provided coaching to 750 more business owners to help them grow their enterprises. The creators of the Black Ambition network have raised over $95 million and made over $23 million in sales.

A few of their founders have been recognized to the esteemed Forbes 30 under 30, and they are securing relationships with big box retailers and receiving recognition for their leadership.
