An investigation into a student’s assertion that she graduated from the Federal Polytechnic, Nekede, Owerri, Imo State, with the aid of ‘God’ and her private parts has been opened.

The girl, in one of the dumbest moves ever made on social media, thanked ‘God’ and her private parts in a post on her TikTok account following the defense of her National Diploma project.Poly Nekede Begins Probe Of Graduating Student Who Thanks God, Private Parts, In Viral Video, Yours Truly, News, June 14, 2024

Since then, the viral video has sparked widespread anger, with many demanding that the college take disciplinary action against her.

The school administration announced Monday that it had started investigating the lady’s claim.

The lady’s allegation was regarded as sinful and against the moral norm of the university in a statement made by the institution’s registrar, Mrs. E. C. Anuna.

The statement read,

“This is to inform the general public that the Management of Federal Polytechnic Nekede has begun complete investigations into the identity of the student who gloated on TikTok about how she graduated with the help of God and her private organ. It is even most blasphemous and antithetical that the said student peddled the name of the Almighty in her deleterious act.

“The management considers the action of the student most unacceptable and unbelievable. The Federal Polytechnic Nekede prides itself as an institution with high academic and moral standards. Both staff and students are quite aware of the consequences of any misconduct. In an unprecedented move, the management,t through the various disciplinary committee,s had released hotlines through which students could report any act of exploitation or corruption. These committees diligently ensure that any staff member or student found culpable is met with appropriate punishment.”

“The despicable post of this supposed student does not represent our institution’s standard. As a clergyman, the institution’s Rector has been very committed and consistent in instilling discipline in our students through seminars, Solemn Assemblies, sensitization outreachs, and publications.

“When our investigations are over, we shall make our findings and pronouncements public. It is in our purview to ensure that only students found worthy in learning and character are certified. This is a commitment to which we shall remain consistently resolute.”
