ScHoolboy Q, the renowned American rapper, released his highly anticipated album, “Blue Lips,” earlier this month, marking his comeback after a five-year hiatus. The previous album received criticism from fans and critics, raising concerns about his latest project’s success. ScHoolboy Q shared a post on Instagram, revealing that he had the privilege of playing the album for Jay-Z before its release. Nevertheless, the album features a lineup of impressive collaborators, including 21 Savage, Kid Cudi, and Ty Dolla Sign.
Recently, ScHoolboy Q appeared on Paul George’s podcast, discussing the honour he felt in sharing his music with Jay-Z. He also revealed that he had the opportunity to play his previous albums for other rap legends, such as Nas and Dr. Dre. This experience highlights the importance of ScHoolboy Q’s contributions to the hip-hop industry and his place among the genre’s elite.
He said,
“He was actually listening and yeah, that was all I needed to know,” “So I got to do it and he was f*cking with it, you know what I’m saying? And giving me the breakdown and the details of it.”
