ScHoolboy Q Shares On The “Cringiest” Lyrics He Ever Wrote As New Album ‘Blue Lips’ Drops
Although ScHoolboy Q still feels embarrassed over a bar he penned ten years ago, it is clear that he is happy for his new album and the progress he has made, as evidenced by the excitement he generates around it every day. A few hours ago, ScHoolboy Q released his new album, Blue Lips, and it’s been amazing to watch him interact with ecstatic fans on social media in response to the news. In one of such conversations, he responded on Twitter to a fan’s query regarding the “cringiest line [he] ever wrote, looking back.”
The TDE signee responded, saying,
“‘Make da p***y drip like a slitted wrist,'”
“[Two facepalm emojis] like braH embarrassing.”
It goes without saying that every brilliant lyricist, including Q, has had a few bad songs, but they don’t diminish the many excellent lines. On this new album, however, fans are hopeful the 37-year-old doesn’t descend to this level once more as fans enjoy the album’s first listen for themselves.
Jay-Z is the one who most definitely would have pointed out any clumsy lines on Blue Lips, as ScHoolboy Q was able to play the new album for him after he expressed his desire to do so on Twitter and “hip-hop Twitter” made it happen. What other elite wordsmiths were able to see behind the scenes for this production is a question that fans can’t suppress.
