Taye Currency Dismisses Rumors That He Passed Out At His London Show

Taye Currency, a renowned Nigerian Fuji singer, has refuted a rumor that he was taken to a hospital in London following a collapse during a live performance. According to rumors on social media earlier today, the musician fell during the concert and was taken to a UK hospital.

On Wednesday, March 20, Taye Currency refuted the news over the phone with Street Journal, claiming that it is completely untrue and that he is in good health.

“I’m hale and hearty. Ignore the news,” the singer announced on social media.

In a phone discussion, Eluyefa said that he called the musician right away after seeing the internet rumors and that he was informed that nothing of the such had happened to him. The musician from Fuji, he continued, is at home. The Fuji singer, who is now in the UK for live performances, was born in Ibadan.

Together with his late twin brother and now-deceased manager, Rahmon Akilapa, Taye Currency launched the “Currency Band” at the age of 17. As a result of his strong involvement in the governor’s campaign during Governor Seyi Makinde’s first term, he was named Culture Ambassador.

Taye Currency became known as “Baba Honourable” when his son, Yusuf Adebisi, was elected to the Oyo State House of Assembly, representing Ibadan South-West Constituency 1.
