Tems Has Been Diagnosed With A Health Challenge And Will Be Going On A Musical Hiatus
Tems, a Nigerian music star, has been diagnosed with reflux laryngitis, which she revealed to her fans via Instagram. Tems said she was diagnosed with the condition after her final performance in a post on Tuesday. She went on to say that she would have to take a vacation from music and that all of her upcoming gigs had been rescheduled.
Tems is one of the most well-known teenage music sensations from Africa, and her illness has stunned her fans all over the world. Following the tweet, artists such as Bree Runway, Denola Grey, and Shaydee Folarin began wishing her good health and luck. Tems were set to perform in Birmingham and London on June 15 and 17, respectively.
Both events have been postponed due to physicians’ recommendations, and new dates will be announced soon. However, Tems also confirmed that all tickets for the rescheduled events are still valid and expressed regret for the inconvenience. Reflux laryngitis is a voice disorder that occurs when the vocal folds become irritated and swollen.
Backflow of stomach fluids such as acids and enzymes causes the condition, which is properly known as laryngopharyngeal reflux. The oesophagus, throat, and voice box are all damaged by stomach contents. Get well soon, Tems.
