Meek Mill Announces His Permanent Smoke Break After Being Diagnosed With A ‘Lil Bit Emphysema’
US rap star, Meek Mill, declared officially on Thursday that he will “completely stop smoking.”
Meek claimed that in addition to telling him that he has “a lil bit emphysema,” his doctor also cautioned him that if he kept smoking, it might cut his own “lifeline in half”. Meek said that he was going to give up smoking almost a month ago, when he also revealed that his criminal record had been legally cleared.
When he broke his probation almost ten years after it was imposed in 2008 due to drug and gun charges, he was sentenced to two to four years in jail. There was controversy surrounding his sentencing due to allegations that Judge Genece Brinkley had made willful choices. However, Meek successfully completed his sentence in less than five months.
But what truly inspired Meek to hop on the weed-quitting train was Snoop Dogg’s recent surprising announcement. The West Coast rap icon and weed expert stunned social media by requesting privacy as he prepared to move on to a new chapter of his life without smoking.
Snoop’s decision to give up smoking sent shockwaves throughout his fan base, and many had much to say about it. Some people didn’t think the former Death Row rapper was genuinely stepping down, while others suggested that the decision might have been made due to legit health concerns.
