The 15-Show Residency By Harry Styles At Madison Square Garden Comes To An End

In order to commemorate Harry Styles’ 15-night performance run at the venue, Madison Square Garden put up a permanent banner. From August 20 to September 21, the artist’s “Love On Tour” residency took place, with Styles taking days off in between shows to attend the Toronto and Venice film festivals. On the final night (Wednesday, Sept. 21), fans received feather boas as a thank-you.

Gayle King, a CBS host, served as the anchor for the banner presentation during the encore. Styles shares the rafters of the Garden’s more than 18,000-seat venue with Billy Joel and Phish. When Styles performed there, the place was turned into “Harry’s House,” complete with speciality cuisine, limited-edition merchandise, and even signage in the neighboring subway stations.

Jim Dolan, executive chairman and CEO, MSG Entertainment stated: “Selling out 15 consecutive nights at Madison Square Garden is a massive accomplishment and reinforces Harry Styles as one of the most impactful artists of his generation. It is a testament to Harry and his fans that a banner celebrating this remarkable achievement will hang from the rafters alongside some of the most legendary artists and athletes in history…”

For each performance at MSG, the “Love On Tour” trek teamed up with the charities Everytown and HeadCount. For the Everytown for Gun Safety Support Fund, more than $1 million has been set aside with Live Nation’s matching contribution.
