Usher is having a career renaissance, and his latest accolades include six nominations at the NAACP Image Awards. These nominations include Entertainer of the Year and Outstanding Male Artist. His award competition includes Chris Brown, Burna Boy, Fantasia Barrino, and Colman Domingo. Meanwhile, Victoria Monet leads the women’s categories with five nominations, including Outstanding Female Artist. NAACP CEO Derrick Johnson, in a statement, said,

“We are thrilled to celebrate the achievements of this year’s nominees, whose outstanding contributions across film, television and streaming, music, literature, podcasts and more have inspired us all,”

For those unable to attend Usher’s long-awaited Super Bowl halftime performance, there is the option to see him at the 2024 Lovers & Friends festival. The festival will take place on May 4 at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds and feature an impressive lineup of acts, including Ludacris, Nelly, Cam’ron, Jeezy, Snoop Dogg, Backstreet Boys, and many more. Usher will perform his iconic 2004 hit album Confessions during his set, while Weezy will perform 2008’s Carter III. The festival has already started its pre-sale of tickets, which can be purchased through its website.

In December, Usher’s celebrated Las Vegas residency ended, and he broke down in tears. Fans were sad to see the end of his residency, but his upcoming performances at the Lovers & Friends festival and the Super Bowl halftime show have given them something to look forward to.
