Nigerian Megastar Prepares to Kick Off 2023 with Fresh Beats and Landmark Concert
Nigerian music sensation, Wizkid, has set the entertainment scene abuzz with the announcement of a new single and music video release. The Grammy Award-winning artist, who has been riding high on the success of his 2022 album ‘More Love Less Ego’, is ready to kick off 2023 with fresh music and a landmark concert.
Wizkid, whose real name is Ayodeji Balogun, took to social media to share the exciting news with his fans. He revealed that he would be releasing a new song and its accompanying music video in the final week of June 2023. The artist, however, kept fans in suspense about the specific release date.
Adding to the anticipation, Wizkid also disclosed that he has completed work on a new album. The announcement came during his visit to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, where he is scheduled to headline a concert on July 29, 2023. This event is set to make history, with Wizkid becoming the first African artist to headline the 80,000-capacity venue.
The forthcoming single will be Wizkid’s first release in 2023, following a series of successful collaborations on tracks like ‘Abracadabra Remix’ by Rexxie and ‘Blessings’ by DJ Tunez. His most recent contribution was on the soundtrack of ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’, produced by Metro Boomin.
Fans are eagerly awaiting the release of the new single, which will be the first taste of Wizkid’s next album. The upcoming project follows the success of ‘More Love Less Ego’, which featured popular singles ‘Bad to Me’ and ‘Money Love’.
