Nigerian superstar Wizkid, known for his chart-topping Afrobeat hits, is set to make a grand entrance into the fashion industry. In a recent conversation with journalist Adesope Olajide at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, Wizkid announced his plans to launch a luxury jewellery line, marking his first venture into the world of fashion.
The Grammy Award-winning artist, whose real name is Ayodeji Balogun, expressed his enthusiasm for the new venture, revealing that he intends to personally design some pieces in the collection. During the conversation, Wizkid showcased a diamond neck chain and pendant he co-designed with renowned designer Eliantte. “This is actually the first piece that I designed myself with Eliantte, the jeweller. This is the first of six pieces that I’m making this year, and yeah, I’ll start up my jewellery line,” Wizkid stated.
