Tems’ Manager And ATL Jacobs Have A Social Media Spat Following “Shocking” ‘Wait For You’ Claims By The Producer
ATL Jacob and Tems’ manager have been embroiled in a contentious internet dispute as of late, with the producer suggesting that she is “difficult to work with.” ATL Jacob, the producer of Future’s famous song “Wait for You,” which features Drake and Tems, revealed specific production-related details in an undated interview on The Baller Alert Show, which sparked the issue. According to Jacob, during the interview, Tems first refused to approve the song, so Drake had to step in and ask for it personally. Fans and industry insiders have debated the song’s backstory despite it becoming one of the most well-known of the year. However, when the interview clip started circulating online, Tems’ manager, Muyiwa Awoniyi, disputed the claims on social media, stating that the story was false. This led to an argument between Awoniyi and Jacob, with each party sticking to their version of events.
Replying to the video, Muyiwa captioned on Twitter, saying,
“Every single word uttered here is untrue,” “You even made up scenarios that never happened. It is shocking how someone can be so bold yet so wrong. Highly disappointing , do better @atljacobbeatz.”
On his Instagram Story, Awoniyi added,
“Please, if @atljacob is your friend. Kindly advise him to stop going on interviews and LYING up and down on a topic he is clearly clueless about.”
The beatmaker subsequently responded,
“I gave my side of the story about me creating a HIT song after being INSPIRED by the song i sampled .. someone reacting so Negatively to a subject that meant no harm SHOWS A LOT. Out of all the good shit i said about you @temsbaby over the years this the only reaction i get?”
Quoting this tweet, Awoniyi clapped back:
“Dude. You have no side to a story because ALL you said was a lie. This is about a specific video circulating on the internet. We cleared the record immediately. Got no call from drake and lastly had no such convo at the Grammys. Tems won’t reply you. But I have your time.”
